snowy weekend....

I had a christmas party with my friends yesterday in edgewater,NJ. It snowed heavily in the evening, so it almost covered the road when we was out the place. It finished around 10:30 pm but I got home around 12:00 am because we should drive very slowly... During on the way home, we saw a car turn in 180 degrees. It seems the car was stuck in the snow and tried to be out of the snow, but it couldn't. Fortunately, the main road was cleared by snowplow car, we could get home safely. But one odd thing we saw yesterday was....we saw a police issued parking tickets in that heavy snowy situation....Anyway, this year has almost gone & i hope everythings what i hoping is coming true in the coming year, 2010.

Merry Christmas!

  3. some cops issue tickets to meet their quota. all though they will say that there is no quota per month... there actually is bc in their yearly budget, or the city's budget or something, there is a line for the amount of $ the city expects to make from tickets. so technically, cops do have a quota to meet this yearly budget, just something i learned from my public admin prof who used to be a councilman. anyways, hope you drive safely this winter. last winter i was turning a corner and going at a fair pace and my tires slipped on the snow and i turned into the left lane a little. i was lucky there was no oncoming traffic and i didnt slip too much but it was scary for a second.
